Meet the committee

Annaka Charters Recovery and Reorganisation Executive Grant Thornton UK LLP
I joined the committee of YPG in 2010 having attended a number of events prior to this. I work for Grant Thornton UK LLP in the Recovery and Reorganisation department. My job involves dealing with a wide range of businesses and other professionals and YPG gives me the opportunity to build contacts and links in an informal and enjoyable manner which I hope to carry forward as my career progresses. I came to Norfolk to do a Law with German Law and Language degree at UEA and like many UEA graduates, am still here. I enjoy being on the committee helping to organise different events but most of all meeting a wide range of people.
Elaine Mann Company Commercial Solicitor Howes Percival LLP
I became involved in the Norfolk Young Professional group in 2008 in order to improve my networking skills and to get to know more people across a variety of professions in the local area. I have been on the committee since 2010 and enjoy organising the events.I am a solicitor in the Corporate and Commercial team at Howes Percival LLP, based in Norwich and find the YPG provides a relaxed environment to meet new contacts and make new friends rather than some of the more daunting formal networking events i've attended, which from both a professional and a personal perspective is enjoyable and rewarding. Outside of work I enjoy sports, both watching and participating and am currently training for a triathlon.
Graham Jones Associate Roche Chartered Surveyors
I am an Associate at Roche Chartered Surveyors in Norwich, where my duties mainly involve agency and landlord and tenant matters relating to commercial real estate. I joined the YPG committee in 2011 having attended events for a number of years prior to this. I have always found the YPG to be a good way to network amongst fellow like-minded professionals and unlike some other networking groups the emphasis is more on having a good time in a relaxed environment. The mix of the events offered is always very good and I hope during my time on the committee we can continue to think of interesting and fun things to do. Away from my work life I try to keep as fit as possible having recently swam the Channel and now training for a half ironman. I am also keen to play more golf, so any interest in a YPG golf event would be welcome!
Lauren Dilrew Corporate Assurance Senior Associate PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP
I started attending YPG events in 2011 as I wanted to meet other like minded professionals in the Norfolk area across different professions in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. I joined the committee to get more involved in arranging the events and to help build the professional profile of both myself and others in the Norfolk area. I currently work in Corporate assurance for PwC and am based in the Norwich office I find that YPG has helped me build professional connections through attendance at informal events which I find both enjoyable and rewarding.
Richard Bloomfield Business Recovery Supervisor Larking Gowen
I joined the YPG Committee in 2011 but have been attending the events on and off for about eight years. I have always found YPG to be a friendly, fun and worthwhile networking event which has given me the chance to build working relationships with like minded business professionals. YPG has been an invaluable tool for making new contacts within my industry. I work for Larking Gowen Chartered Accountants in Norwich and I work in the Business Recovery team.
